Have you ever tried to give up a vice,
Like smoking or drinking or throwing dice?

Have you been on a diet to lose some weight,
Or went out jogging to make you feel great?

Have you ever wished you were inches taller,
Or dreamt that your nose was somehow smaller?

Was there a time when you faced rejection,
And discovered the meaning of pain and dejection?

Have you envied the joy and success of a friend,
And secretly hoped it would come to an end?

Did you cry all alone when a lover had gone,
And wished you were dead or had never been born?

Then worry not and don’t lose face,
For it means you are part of the human race.
